Issue #35: 19/04/2024 Barrow Hills School From the Head

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to Summer Term. It was wonderful to see the children and staff come back with such energy.

We wanted to share some updates regarding the Bridewell Bulletin, which serves as a source of celebration and news for both Schools within the Bridewell Royal Hospital Foundation.

After considering your recent feedback, we’ve decided to continue investing in the Bridewell Bulletin. After the Friday edition this week, the Bulletin will be published on an occasional basis. We believe this change to the timing will offer a more reflective and enjoyable reading experience.

While the frequency of the Bulletin is changing, rest assured that we will still keep you informed on a weekly basis:

Starting next Friday, we’re excited to introduce the ‘Barrow Hills Bulletin’, a weekly newsletter tailored specifically for prep-parent readership. This newsletter will provide helpful updates and insights to keep you informed and engaged.

In addition, we will continue to communicate practical matters through our Portal messages. To ensure we respect your time and inbox space, we will try and concentrate these updates on Tuesdays.

We have seen a great response to all the new co-curricular clubs being laid on this term. We’ve put together a new brochure, that we will update regularly, so you can easily see what is on offer and  in one place. Look out for a Portal notification next week for your summer edition.

Thanks also to the many parents turning out for our Year 5 and 6 revision workshop last night, a chance for us to communicate and share our academic aspirations.

Have a great weekend.
