Sports Newsletter- Week Commencing 18th April
Welcome back to the final term of the academic year at KESW. This term, the main sport is cricket, for both boys and girls, but with tennis, badminton and athletics amongst others, it promises to be an exciting end to a brilliant year of sport for KESW.
The cricket fixtures start on Saturday, with four U14 games against St John’s Leatherhead, with two boys’ and two girls’ teams in action. On the same day, the first XI girls are also in action against Charterhouse. On Monday, the U13B girls’ team play in a triangular tournament with Aldro and Farnham Heath End, with the fixtures taking place at Aldro. On Tuesday, the U15 boys A and B teams play their first game of the season, both against Cranleigh, while the boys’ U14A and B play St George’s College and Cranleigh respectively. On Wednesday, there is a block fixture taking place against Feltonfleet for seven junior sides. The boys’ U13A, B, C and D teams are all in action, alongside the girls’ U13A, B and C teams. On Thursday, the boys’ U15A play in the English Schools Cricket Association (ESCA) T20 competition against RGS Guildford, while the girls’ U13A play St Catherine’s. On Friday, the first tennis fixtures of the term take place, with the boys’ and girls’ U13A teams playing against Barrow Hills. It promises to be a busy first full week back, and we wish good luck to all those participating in fixtures.
