At the end of the Spring Term, two 1st Form KESW Music Scholars performed live on stage at Wembley Arena as part of the Voice In a Million stage choir.

Voice In A Million (VIAM), known as “The World’s Most Spectacular School Concert”, is an annual event staged to raise awareness of children in care and encourage people to think about fostering or adoption.

Stella L and Eve W had to pass two rounds of auditions to win places in the VIAM stage choir in competition with other candidates from all over the UK. After this, began the real job of learning over 20 songs and dance routines and attending the monthly rehearsals building up to the big day! Both Stella and Eve also completed a third round of auditions successfully to win solo parts.

The songs performed are a mixture of uplifting pop songs from many well-known artists including Tina Turner, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Gloria Gaynor, The Imagine Dragons and many more.

“VIAM is an amazing opportunity. Singing in front of 12,000 people and being part of a professional production is an amazing experience. I loved being up on stage and performing to a lovely audience with a very supportive crew.” said Stella.

“VIAM is a lot of work, but it’s worth it I loved raising awareness for adoption and singing up on the stage!” said Eve.
