Year 1 Explore Islands and Coastlines

Year 1 are very excited about their new topic ‘Islands and Coastlines’.

They have been learning about the features of an island and over the course of the term will be learning about many different islands. They have enjoyed listening to the Katie Morag stories set on a fictional Scottish island called Struay. The illustrations in the books are amazing, and the children have loved searching for the coastline, sea and various different animals on every page.

The children have designed their own treasure islands and have aged them beautifully with coffee!
